We run a full program of activities in advisory, designed by the Grade 8 team to suit the needs of our students. It integrates curriculum in terms of content and skills, literacy, citizenship and collaborative learning. The focus is on the creation of 'community'.

In 2009-2010 the team decided to shift to a Who Am I challenge-based learning focus. Students spent a good deal of time exploring their interests, researching careers and getting information about expectations for high school. The 8th grade team collaborated with the high school counselors to offer a series of meetings explaining the scope and sequence of high school courses so students have a better idea of what high school will entail for them.
